Associate Pre Sales Consultant

Job Function

 

The Associate Pre Sales Consultant will facilitate Software AG’s business and revenue goals by providing consistent, high quality, technical support and assistance to the sales team through all aspects of the sales cycle. The Associate Pre Sales Consultant supports the qualification of prospects and business strategies by giving technical support and input to the sales team.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Create and deliver demonstrations, presentations, prototypes, POC/POV and map features/benefits of Software AG products to prospects’ specific needs
  • Respond to the technical sections of RFI/RFPs
  • Provide on-going technical support to well-qualified prospects conducting evaluations
  • Analyse sales prospects’ requirements and propose the best possible Software AG solution
  • Work with sales representative to establish specific account plans and strategies
  • Provide product feedback from customers
  • Communicate competitive intelligence from the field
  • Exchange best practices and share knowledge within SE Community
  • Keep up to date with any new Software AG solutions (especially from the belonging business line) and relevant technical knowledge
  • Participate in meetings and conferences with customers and partners, sales and other necessary departments (e.g. R & D)

 

Experience and Knowledge

 

  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or any other relevant subject
  • Programming experience
  • Understanding of business infrastructure technology, network architectures and distributed computing
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java, C/C++, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, Python)
  • Experience with Internet software development/concepts
  • Experience with Operating Systems (e.g. Linux, Windows) and Databases (SQL)
  • Experience with embedded systems (eg. MBED, RasbPi, Arduino, Edge Gateways)
  • Knowledge of a wide range of applications (e.g. ERP, CRM)
  • Knowledge of Business Infrastructure concepts and technologies (SOA, BPM, BAM, EAI)
  • Knowledge of Software AG key products and solutions is a bonus but not required
