Senior DevOps Engineer* for Cumulocity IoT RnD



Location: Düsseldorf




You are an infrastructure engineer* with a real passion for designing and building robust, scalable, automated systems. You're comfortable working with developers, Test teams, senior leadership, and non-technical individuals to help deliver value to the broader organization.


The successful candidate* will join our Dusseldorf based Cumulocity IoT R&D team to build, maintain, monitor & support towards a seemeless CI/CD process. Cumulocity is Software AG’s leading Internet of Things (IoT) platform, allowing millions of connected devices to be managed through public/private cloud and network edge deployments of the platform.





  • Use cutting edge tools to build a secured, resilient infrastructure in a multi-cloud environment
  • Participate in feature development and follow through with other team members to ensure high quality and predictable delivery
  • Deploy, manage and provide end to end support for a seemless CI/CD process
  • Work with the QA team to ensure minimal regressions and comprehensive customer-centric testing
  • Investigate, design, and develop the features individually or with a small team to enhance the CI/CD experience
  • Participate in internal/cross team meetings, scoping, decision making and technical documentation
  • Assisting development and product operations engineers with troubleshooting infrastructure issues




  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • 8+ Years of hands on experience in an infrastructure engineer role
  • Devops certification in AWS or Azure is a MUST
  • Experience working with CI/CD processes in a complex multi cloud environment, Jenkins and code coverage tools
  • Development skills in Infrastructure tools such as Terraform, Configuration management tools(chef), scripting technologies like Python/Shell, build systems like Jenkins & monitoring tools like Splunk
  • Excellent knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Puppet, Ansible, and/or Chef and configuration management practices
  • Experience in troubleshooting complex systems and finding optimization and simplification opportunities
  • Familiarity with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, access control and user management.
  • Experience working in highly distributed team
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies and release management techniques
