Manager* Transformation, Process and Project Office



Location: Berlin, Darmstadt, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich, Nuremberg, Saarbruecken, Stuttgart, Vienna (AUT), Zurich (CH)


Our new team member* will work in Software AG’s Transformation, Process and Project Office (TTP) and will focus on tasks within the project and portfolio management practice.

Here, the candidate* helps in the successful delivery of programs and projects through the provision of strategic and operational (project management) support; helping manage the portfolio by orchestrating incoming demands, synchronizing requirements, evaluating impacts on resources, costs and processes is also part of the responsibility. Help developing blueprints and standards (e.g. internal “Prime” methodology, PM standard tooling, change management framework) within the team to continuously improve the practice will add to the tasks. Running and managing cadences, such as “result to action meetings” completes the area of responsibility. This role is impacting the consistency and quality of our projects as well as the quality of our company-wide decision making.

  • Help managing the TPP’s operating model on demand management
  • Help evaluating project requests
  • Synchronizing requirements across the company
  • Operationally help managing the project portfolio and project interdependencies by collecting, consolidating and analyzing program and project data to support effective decision-making
  • Taking the role as a project manager for selected projects
  • Help building new PM standards, be a contact person and help rolling them out for managing projects consistently and efficiently
  • Take responsibility in shaping the change management standard for the practice





  • Master’s degree in business administration, marketing, finance or economics
  • Experience working in a project management environment
  • Expertise with project/portfolio management tooling, Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and ARIS
  • Must be fluent in English (written and oral), desirable German (written and oral)
  • A clear desire to learn
  • Working structured and reliable with high quality
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize and multi-task, strong communication skills across the organization
  • A good understanding of Software AG’s commercial and back-office operations
  • Solid problem-solving orientation
  • Proven team player, highly developed social competencies
