Post-Merger Integration Manager*



Location: Germany


As PMI Manager*, you will support the Senior Director PMI in establishing and developing Software AG’s PMI capability. You will work closely with the M&A team and with leaders at acquired companies. You will be responsible for tracking and progressing integration projects and developing/mentoring junior colleagues in future. The key objective is disciplined, consistent delivery of the agreed business case for acquisitions.





  • Manage integration of acquired companies (past and future acquisitions) into the Software AG group, working end-to-end from due diligence, through preparation and closing, to post merger
  • Take ownership of one or more areas of Software AG’s PMI Framework
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver specific areas/workstreams during integration projects
  • Support divestments/carve-outs as needed
  • Prepare documentation/presentations to support board-level management decisions
  • Travel to worldwide locations expected post-COVID





  • University degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience of PMI in software industry
  • Understanding of subscription and Software-as-a-Service business models
  • Highly structured working and communication style – project management experience is an asset
  • Change management experience is an asset
  • Able to track and maintain progress over complex long-term projects
  • Clear communicator, able to motivate people and build consensus across wide ranges of stakeholder groups
  • Empathetic and able to listen to varying viewpoints and understand them
  • Fluent in English
