Strategy and Transformation Manager*



Location: Berlin, Darmstadt, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich, Nuremberg, Saarbruecken, Stuttgart, Vienna (AUT), Zurich (CH)


The Strategy and Transformation Manager will work with the Transformation Office (TMO) and manage, consult on and in some cases run end-to-end (Helix) transformation initiatives and workstreams, including change management initiatives. The successful candidate will be a good problem solver and work well independently as well as in a collaborative environment.

Success in this role will be measured against delivery progress of key transformation milestones.





  • Work with project teams and business departments on transformation initiatives and projects
  • Support the delivery of transformation reporting and project management activities to build reporting transparency on transformation’s progress
  • Own and independently manage and coordinate transformation initiatives while pushing forward and contributing to group problem-solving
  • Support transformation program success by coordinating initiatives and foster cross-initiative collaboration
  • Own and steer transformation change management activities
  • Assess progress toward strategic goals and KPIs across helix transformation workstreams





  • A clear desire to learn
  • Minimum six years of relevant work experience
  • A broad understanding of Software AG’s commercial and back-office operations
  • An understanding of how to drive successful change management at scale
  • A “self-starter” who is lead on outcomes and impact in their role, while working within a matrix organization
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail; ability to prioritize and multitask; strong communication skills across all levels in an organization
  • Solid problem-solving orientation
  • Proven team player, highly developed social competencies
  • Master in business administration, marketing, finance or economics
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Labcase, and ARIS
  • Must be fluent in English (written and oral); desirable German (written and oral)
