Position Purpose

 

The Graduate Consultant will be trained across a range of Software AG Products through a structured 12-month enablement plan with a view to developing experience in one or more specific domain areas.

 

During the 12-month enablement period the Graduate Consultant will be working as part of the Software UK Application Service Desk, attending trainings and working within customer projects/engagements as part of a wider Software AG Project team.

 

Following the initial 12-month enablement it is expected that the Associate Consultant with join one of the Practice areas as a Consultant working on customer engagements with career progression plan within a specific domain area.

 

Essential Job Functions

 

  • Application Support: You will be handling customer incidents and service requests as part of the UK Service Desk, providing operational day to day support for Software AG Managed Service customers.

 

  • Project Delivery: You will be working closely with the client and SAG Practice or Project Managers / Principle Consultants to shape and successfully deliver the engagement, within the agreed time, scope and budget; whilst ensuring the meeting of client expectations

  • Service Desk SLA’s
  • Customer Satisfaction
  • Professional Services Revenue

 

Key Activities

 

  • Application Support in line with SAG’s ITIL Processes and Procedures
  • Executing engagements in line with SAG’s delivery methodology (PRIME)
  • Contributing to post implementation reviews to incorporate findings into future work
  • Contributing to the further development of SAG’s delivery methodology (PRIME)and Solution Book
  • Training and educating end users
  • Recording time, expenses, skills, experience etc with relevant SAG systems

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or appropriate Business Degree
  • Knowledge of and developing experience in one or several of the following technologies/languages/frameworks/standards;
    • webMethods technologies: BPM, Business Rules, Integration Server, Optimize, CAF, My webMethods Server, Universal Messaging or Broker, Terracotta, CentraSite,  Trading Networks, webMethods Insight
    • ARIS technologies:  ARIS Connect, ARIS Architect & Designer Client, ARIS UML Designer, ARIS Business Process Analysis, ARIS Business Strategy, ARIS Process Governance, ARIS RISK & Compliance & ARIS Process Governance.
    • Industry languages and protocols: Java, XML, SOAP,  REST, OData, JSON, WSDL, XSD, XML Schema, XQuery, HTML, CSS, SQL, JavaScript, JSP, Servlet, BPEL, BPMN, XACML, Groovy
    • Operating Systems: Windows Server, UNIX, Linux (RHEL, SUSE)
    • Frameworks / standards / methodologies:  COBIT, ITIL, Six Sigma, Industry tools: Jenkins, Git, Subversion, Eclipse
  • Eligible and prepared to go through UK security clearance if required
