POSITION PURPOSE

 

The mission of Software AG’s Product Enablement is to share knowledge with learners that results in successful outcomes for our customers, partners and employees. 

As part of a forward-looking Product Enablement team, the Junior Learning Systems Administrator* will be an integral part of the team, working closely with the Senior Learning Systems Administrator and other members of the Product Enablement team to effectively use technology to enable user-experience-centered learning across Software AG.

 

The Junior Learning Systems Administrator* is responsible for assisting in the support of our Learning Management System and integrated platforms. You will serve as a backup SME of our systems. The primary systems you will be supporting include but are not limited to Totara Learn (LMS), Credly, and Allego. You may also work on a team in support of future enhancement or integrations.

 

Ideally, you have worked in a learning environment in the past or are looking to take your recent work experience and apply it into the field of adult learning.  

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

  • Support system administration functions such as configuration, uploading and deploying new courses
  • Serve as a backup in supporting learner interface issues, challenges, navigability obstacles related to the system, etc.
  • Perform project tasks as needed (i.e., system workflow customization, process automation, report development, dashboard creation, course upload, and course updates, create new digital badges, etc.) as needed
  • Run system reports
  • Develop and maintain system documentation and resource guides, including, operational procedures, changes, and policies

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in computing science, information technology or similar discipline with minimum two years’ work experience in relevant field
  • Analytical with a desire to problem solve
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Enjoys working both independently and in a virtual team environment

 

 

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS

 

  • Ability to demonstrate true empathy for learners (users)
  • Naturally curious, with the ability to apply creative thinking skills
  • Knowledge of adult learning methodologies, a plus 
  • Experience in working with international and intercultural teams, a plus.
  • Disciplined with the ability to self-manage, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Highly motivated
  • Previous experience working in a learning environment, a plus
  • Previous knowledge of Totara or any Learning Management System (LMS), a plus
