Sales Account Executive* - Professional Services - Germany



Locations in Germany: Darmstadt, Stuttgart, Munich, Düsseldorf

Reporting into the Head of Sales Germany - with close collaboration to the German Country Organization - he/she adds value by delivering sustainable new business growth. You must have an outstanding capability to create opportunities in both the white space and the existing accounts. You should have a proven resilient existing network across Germany regarding Professional Services coupled with a track record of overachieving services sales target i.e. above EUR 6m p.a. 


We require an excellent Professional Services Sales Executive* who has the ability to identify client’s stakeholders (IT and Business) to position our Professional Services related to our complete product portfolio in conjunction with sales and presales. This role is selling Professional Services, implementation services and complex IT projects. 





  • A successfully completed degree in economics or engineering or a comparable long-term qualification
  • Performer; highly driven person who consistently exceeds goals and expectations. Able to generate leads and submit proposals to the client utilizing a broad knowledge of Software AG professional service offerings 
  • Experienced with at least min. 8 years in selling services and/or solutions in various industries preferably within IoT, Integration-platforms, Analytics and Business Transformation/Process-Management. He/she understands key challenges and is able to articulate adequate approach to solving these challenges
  • Excellent Collaborator; builds strong relationships and leadership connections to understand customer needs
  • Challenger; adept at challenging perspectives with new, innovative ideas that reframes thinking about the value of Software AG solutions
  • Interpersonal; very strong presentation, white boarding and communication skills.
  • Sales Orchestrator; able to develop strong internal relationships, orchestrator of sales pursuit teams, internal and with partner to win deals. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others
  • Growth Mindset; willing to go the extra mile, unlock own potential and the potential of our solutions to derive value for our customers. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization
  • Value selling; able to network and develop strong business relationships with customers such that they turn to Software AG for their resource needs.  Very familiar with the latest business value sales methodologies, practices and technologies that drive sales prospecting, sales execution and selling in complex solution selling environments of global customers 





  • Proficient in the core capabilities, value proposition and competitive differentiation of Business Application Solutions and Integrations platforms. Project Management know-how would be also very beneficial
  • Experience in Business Application Cloud solutions considered a valuable bonus
  • You are fluent in German and English, both in writing and speech
