Senior Software Engineer*


Location: Leipzig (Sachsen/Germany)



Software AG is focusing on Internet of things (IoT) business by providing customers with IoT solutions globally. As a member of Cumulocity IoT R&D you will join a global team of engineers responsible for Software AG’s market leading Cumulocity IoT platform. As part of our team at Software AG Leipzig subsidiary, itCampus GmbH, you will work on enablement of webMethods.io Integration capabilities in Cumulocity IoT.





  • You’ll be part of an international team, working out of Leipzig office
  • You’ll contribute to a new layered product to bring integration capabilities into Cumulocity IoT using Software AG powerful integration platform webMethods.io Integration
  • You’ll implement high quality IoT and integration user interfaces
  • You’ll design Javascript APIs and SDKs
  • You’ll work on features from technical, architectural and quality perspective
  • You’ll work with latest cloud technologies

  • University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering
  • Proven background in complex cloud-/Web application Architectures and knowledge of the common protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, WebSockets, HTTP/HTTPS, REST, JSON
  • Experience with distributed architectures and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Export knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript (ES6), TypeScript
  • Knowledge of Angular (we use Angular 11) or another JavaScript framework (React, Vue)
  • Experience using build tools like Webpack
  • Hands-on experience with build systems like Jenkins
  • Several years of professional work experience in software development designing and developing modern web applications in JavaScript
  • Background with Java is a plus
