Digital Account Manager-4



Primary purpose is to lead Digital Sales Representatives (DSRs) to generate pipeline and license revenue in our Commercial Business Space.  DSRs will work as part of a team with Account Executives to manage noncomplex opportunities  to drive net new revenue with specific solutions in our Whitespace accounts, leveraging partners to identify incremental opportunities and generate revenue.


Essential Job Functions

  • Manage and support the team to develop and execute sales strategies to profitably obtain and grow (land and expand) revenues within existing accounts and expand the account base in target markets.
  • Ensure healthy make-up of deals from a Software AG perspective, including the maximization of standard rate maintenance combined with new revenue.
  • Effectively and accurately managing forecasting and pipeline reporting related to revenue, and specific accuracy around timelines for forecasting.
  • Performance manage, lead, coach and mentor Digital Sales Reps with a hands-on, team-oriented approach.
  • Apply go to market initiatives and other demand generation initiatives to their target market to achieve business goals.
  • Maintain a good understanding of Software AG’s solutions, marketplace, and competition.
  • Create an environment of collaboration with both the customer and the virtual sales team.
  • Build working relationships with field sales, sales engineers, partners, market development, and consulting in respective territory to develop joint account plans/strategies.



Skills and Experience:

  • Background includes having established and executed call plans, orchestrated account-planning sessions and effectively executed account strategies.
  • Extensive experience in successfully managing a sales team within the enterprise solutions industry.
  • Basic understanding of BPMS, SOA, B2B, EAI Technology, marketplace and technical concepts.
  • Demonstrated success and track record of consistent performance (quota achievement) and accountability using multiple sales approaches.
  • Ability to build relationships and interact with customers and prospects via phone, web and email.
  • Must be able to clearly present Software AG’s solution offerings to a variety of business and IT audiences.
  • Proficient using the Microsoft Office suite of tools.
  • Experience in using is a plus.
  • Proven problem solver.

Education and Experience

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent and familiarity with internet technologies.
  •   2+ years successful management of Inside Sales / Account Development team
  •   5+ years of experienced solution-based selling value
