Financial Analyst

Software AG is seeking a strong financial analyst with an accounting backbone, or an accountant looking to make the switch to a finance focused opportunity. This position will support financial reporting, Forecasting, Budgeting, Commission calculation and ongoing ad-hoc analysis needs. The role will partner with the Department leads and other key internal stakeholders on planning, forecasting, and reporting the company’s financial performance.
  

  • Partner with the leadership of the individual business segments and Business units to support with Forecasting and budgeting
  • Updating, and maintaining financial models and detailed forecasts of the individual Business Segments
  • Serves as a key contact point for interpretation and investigation of financial results in assigned area
  • Performs analysis of internal controls
  • Anticipates questions about the company’s financial projections
  • The role requires the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines, extreme attention to detail, and consistently accurate, high quality financial analyses.
     
      

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in FP&A or within an Accounting firm.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex work environment, including interacting well with leaders across the organization
  • Excellent customer focus, a service mind set, and the ability to partner closely with internal customers
  • Strong skills in account analysis, problem solving and attention to detail
  • Self-directed individual with a focus on process improvement
  • Possess a passion for growth and learning
  • Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suites, particularly Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, ERP retrieve tools, etc).
  • Experience with SAP, BI or other financial reporting software a plus
