IT Project Manager

For our new IT PMO, we are looking for an IT Project Manager to join our global team. The IT PMO is headed by the Program/Project Manager.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Full life-cycle Project Management to include all 5 stages of projects: Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring and Closure.
  • Specific emphasis on:
    • Scope Definition and Requirement Gathering
    • Resource planning (people and budget)
    • Detailed Project Plan including timeline
    • Project controlling and reporting
    • Documentation
  • Sourcing of IT projects: define internal and external sourcing channels with required skills and availability
  • Partner engagement and management
  • Receive and manage project/business requests and validate with IT Strategy and Enterprise Architecture principles
  • Identify training requirements, implement lessons learned to remain up to date on the technology side, following Software AG’s IT Strategy
  • Attend trainings and use Project Management framework and methodology (coming from Software AG’s Transformation, Process and Projects Office)
  • Handover to “Business as usual”/Operations after project closure

 

Skills Required:

  • Proven track record in Project Management for at least one of the following areas: IT Security, cloud (Azure and AWS), applications harmonization, infrastructure
  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Jira/Confluence
  • 4+ years of experience in Project Management
  • High level organizational skills
  • Ability to coordinate and influence people from various other business units, and work in a cross-country matrix organization
  • Strong communication skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
  • Willingness to continuously learn and stay up to date with technology

 

Additional skills to complete your profile:

  • Project Management certification (e.g. PMP) is a plus
  • Previous management of international acting teams is a benefit
  • Agile and lean practices are a plus
  • IT background
  • Cost management / budget experience a plus
