IT VENDOR & CONTRACT MANAGER

As an IT Vendor & Contract Manager, you will be responsible as part of Software AG’s IT department for managing the WAN vendors , IT Suppliers and related Cloud services.

 

Your tasks will be

  • You will play a leading role in implementing the contracts concluded and will be the first point of contact for project staff and for IT management in all contractual matters.
  • You successfully negotiate claims, changes, and renewals, unerringly resolve conflict situations and are responsible for the contractual management of the IT providers and subcontractors.
  • You will work closely and in a spirit of trust with the company's business units (Legal, Purchasing, Data protection, etc..).
  • Acting as single point of contact for vendors (WAN, Infrastructure, Security, etc…) & internal IT departments
  • Commercially manage contracts and vendor SLAs
  • Coordinate globally IT service orders ( eg. WAN) and taking part in the RFP process and evaluating offers
  • Handling service delivery meetings with the vendors
  • You will perform reporting and contract controlling and contribute to the improvement of tools and processes through your experience.
  • Responsible for budget planning, cost management and internal cross-charging
  • Building positive relations with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • As second responsibility you are organizing bi-annual BCM tests for IT:  for this you act as a project manager and ensure that for critical IT systems disaster recovery tests are executed.
  • You are responsible for documentation and timely fulfillment of the tests, helping to keep our Business Continuity certification according to ISO 22301

 

 

Required skills and experience are

  • University degree or comparable education as well as several years of experience with complex contract topics in the IT industry
  • 3-years plus experience in a comparable position
  • Specific IT knowledge and relevant experience with managed services and outsourcing contracts
  • Knowledge in the management of complex contracts as well as in the negotiation of claims, changes and renewals
  • Consultancy and  communication skills
  • Organizational talent and ability to work in a team
  • Fluent negotiation skills in English , German is a plus 
  • Project management skills is a plus
  • Willingness to continuously learn and stay up to date with technology
