Marketing Automation Manager - Marketo

 

Software AG is looking for a Marketing Automation Manager in the US. This is a new position to manage tactical execution and projects for marketing automation, including campaign management, across touch points that include email, digital, and web properties. The ideal candidate will also provide leadership and help manage a team of Marketo specialists remotely (i.e., be a “player/coach”) and be a key contributor to the Marketo Center of Excellence. This Marketo Certified Expert will build nurture programs, execute campaigns, drive segmentation, ensure and enhance data quality via hygiene techniques, etc.

Reports to: Senior Director, Marketing Operations & Technology
Location: Reston, VA or Remote
Travel: 20% as part of guiding/managing team in Bulgaria

Essential Job Functions:

  • Support multiple regions, business units and campaign managers by implementing campaigns through our marketing automation system of record – Marketo (e.g. creating emails, registration forms, nurture programs, ad-hoc campaign reporting, etc.) 
  • Template creation & improvement – specific email, newsletter templates & registration page creation in Marketo
  • Digital campaigns set up & execution (e.g. engagement programs, lead nurturing, personalization)
  • Sync to CRM, troubleshooting issues related the sync (Salesforce.com)
  • Campaigns analytics & reporting
  • RTP set up, RTP campaigns management & execution
  • Munchkin Tracking solution for the EU management
  • Understand & implement GDPR operational processes, as well as ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc. – and performance compliance audits to ensure adherence
  • API integrations
  • Database quality management & governance
  • Operate as a “player/coach” helping lead internal Marketo team via best practices and providing best-in-class utilization support
  • Provide best practices, tips & techniques for global and local campaigns
  • Support & training for colleagues worldwide
  • Create workflows, best practices, processes that pertain to integration, performance reporting & ongoing maintenance
  • Lead integration across platforms and channels, including email, web, and sales


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Global day-to-day administration for Marketo
  • Users & roles management
  • Workspaces & lead partitions management
  • Implementation & management of lead scoring
  • Free trial downloads set up
  • Host internal Marketo live & on-demand trainings for colleagues
  • Troubleshoot issues related the Marketo instance
  • Communication with Marketo Support as needed

 

Required Skills

  • Marketo Certified Expert – having deep, practical/tactical expertise in Marketo
  • Experience with campaign management at global, enterprise scale using Marketo
  • Basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience (basic) – Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.
  • Experience with content management systems
  • Understanding principles of Account-Based Marketing at scale
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Team player
  • Excellent communication skills

 

Desirable Skills

  • Strong interest in dynamic digital campaigns and ABM initiatives
  • Good knowledge of Analytics tools (optional)
  • Cross-cultural communication experience
  • German language (optional)
  • Salesforce admin experience (optional)

 

Education

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
