PS Offering Program Manager



The PS Offering Program Manager is responsible for coordinating the successful development and maturation of professional service solution offerings also known as Service Packages. This person serves as the primary contact between the PS organization, PS Marketing and Product Managers during the development and deployment of new service offerings and evolution of existing service offerings into the marketplace.  

The Offering Program Manager will quantify demand and work with PS Delivery to successfully scale service delivery capabilities for solution offerings. This is a cross functional role which requires you to work closely with PS Sales, Business Unit Product Managers, PS Marketing and PS Platform Owners and to understand demand fulfillment requirements, and with PS Enablement Lead / Coordinators to design / schedule training of delivery staff and partners.

Like every member in the Professional Services organization, the Offering Program Manager will be evaluated on the ability of the PS Delivery meet revenue and MVI targets. Additionally, the Offering Program Manager will be evaluated as follows:

  • Ability to develop new service offerings on time and within budget
  • Facilitate the maturation of intellectual assets supporting target service offerings
  • Facilitate the deal and proposal costs for target service offerings
  • Facilitate the creation of Offering training materials
  • Customer satisfaction

Your position reports to the Manager of PS Marketing.


Essential Job Functions

  • Technical qualification of new service offering concepts
  • Service offer positioning to include market expertise and how to define the customer value proposition
  • Establish the PS Offering lifecycle (see below for examples)
    • Gathering and validation of business requirements for service offerings
    • Defining and articulating the value proposition
    • Creation and refinement of service sales process linked to services packages and PRIME (SAG project methodology)
    • Ongoing development of intellectual assets supporting service offering / delivery
    • Testing and documentation of new professional services offerings
    • Piloting of new service offerings
    • Creation of offering training materials
  • As required, Manage the PS Service Portfolio including Managed Services Portfolio

Travel: 20-40%


Education and Experience

  • B.S. or B.A. required, MS or MBA preferred
  • 8+ years working in the services/consulting industry
  • Conceptual knowledge and understanding about all Software AG product lines
  • Prior experience managing budgets, staff, and external consultants
  • Prior experience designing service offerings
  • Proven track record of management and leadership skills required to drive operational efficiency throughout a global professional service organization.
  • Minimum 3 years management experience
  • Previous experience managing / working with virtual teams
  • Previous experience managing solution rollouts
  • Establish a unified ‘offering’ program vision among team members from disparate and independently-goaled functional areas
  • Champion process improvement. Challenge processes that are inefficient or counter-productive and establish new processes to improve efficiency
  • Prior experience managing solution offerings generating revenues ranging from $250,000 to $5,000,000
  • International experience a plus


Certifications: Industry Certification is a plus.


Language: English. Any additional language is a plus.
