Sales Development Rep

  • Find and develop opportunities for Software AG to engage in a sale through high outbound activities (cold calling, email, social, various forms of outreach) and following up on Marketing Qualified Leads (i.e. Marketing Events, Webinars, Website Downloads) 

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams in defined territories to develop and execute outbound plans for penetrating targeted accounts through innovative and strategic approaches 

  • Develop and grow new and existing relationships within our customer base to understand their needs and priorities for driving valuable interactions and outcomes  

  • Aim to understand an organization’s priorities, business drivers, challenges, pain points and how Software AG’s solutions align to these 

  • Facilitate internal resources necessary to progress sales cycles/opportunities  

  • Maintain active engagement with customers and prospects using creative follow-up communication methods 

  • Manage and monitor your work using Salesforce, social media, and other sales tools and technologies 

  • Help drive attendance to marketing events and conferences 

  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives, metrics, and key performance indicators. 

  • Travel for product/industry/role trainings and customer/prospect onsite meetings 


  • Coachable, eager, and a burning desire to grow and succeed 

  • A demonstrable track record of success and overcoming obstacles associated with prospecting, cold calling, and customer service 

  • Disciplined approach to daily activity planning, time management, goal-setting and achieving success. 

  • Attention to detail with a commitment to excellence 

  • An empathetic listener with exceptional verbal and written communication skills 

  • Superior relationship building skills – Ability to build meaningful business relationships with Software AG customers, prospects and internal colleagues 

  • Persistent and dependable, especially with deliverables, deadlines, and attendance
