Senior Manager, Partner Marketing



Position Purpose

Candidate will be responsible for the management and execution of partner marketing initiatives for North America. This role is responsible for helping build go-to-market plans with focus partners, developing and executing co-marketing plans, engaging with partners and ensuring they are properly supported from a marketing perspective. This is a new role with tremendous growth opportunity to implement new marketing ideas and efficiencies to support our expanding partner ecosystem. The ideal candidate has exceptional planning and communications skills, a channel-first attitude, and ability to create and launch campaigns, tools and programs that move the needle.


Essential Job Functions 

  • Develop and manage North America partner strategy, plan and budget to achieve bookings, pipeline and partnership goals in alignment with Alliances & Channels team.
  • Work with Field Marketing and Alliances & Channels team to assess and prioritize top focus partners for each business unit.
  • Plan and execute co-marketing programs to increase customer awareness and adoption of Software AG’s partner integrations.
  • Own strategy and execution for Marketing Development Fund (MDF) program.
  • Support partner events from strategy to execution.
  • Manage partner marketing communications and increase awareness of our programs through online and offline vehicles. Develop and maintain a Partner Portal to share latest news, assets and programs available to customize and co-brand.
  • Develop partner marketing tools and ensure that partner programs meet marketing objectives.
  • Evaluate the marketing performance of partners and recommend improvements.




  • Position is based in Reston, VA   
  • Up to 20% travel may be required



  • Ability to think strategically, distill complex ideas, and focus on marketing initiatives that will scale.
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate and influence stakeholders in sales, channel management, marketing, leadership, regional teams and other functions.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to measure effectiveness of programs and extract actionable insights.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization and project management skills; can quickly adapt to changes within fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize time with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High energy, enthusiasm and initiative.


Education and Experience

  • 5-8 years of experience in a B2B partner marketing or programs role, working with VARs, distributors, global system integrator and/or technology alliance partners
  • Working knowledge of CRM and marketing automation tools. Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
