Site Reliability Engineer

The Site Reliability Engineer will support various teams as they migrate their workloads to the Cloud environment, while ensuring architecture and security standards are maintained. The SRE will be a key player in creating sustainable systems and services though automation and uplifts.

 

Your Tasks:

    • Ensure daily proper operation
    • Support other teams in the migration of their workloads to the cloud and ensure proper architecture and security while doing so
    • Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications
    • Partner with development and infrastructure teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
    • Enhance our landing zone concepts and help other departments to adopt our cloud foundation based on Azure
    • Participate in system design consulting, platform management and capacity planning
    • Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts
    • Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding

 

Your Profile:

    • Bachelors or Master's degree in computer science, electronics, or engineering or similar work experience
    • 3 + years of experience in site reliability
    • Ability to program (structured and OO) with one or more languages, such as Python, Java, C/C++, Ruby, and JavaScript
    • Extensive knowledge about one of the big hyperscalers
    • Proven knowledge in sizing and cost management of cloud services
    • Experience with infrastructure as code, containerization and deployment / development toolchains
    • A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
    • An open and result oriented communication and working style
    • Experience working in a worldwide global multicultural environment
    • Fluent English spoken and written
