Territory Account Executive, IoT


The Territory Account Executive, based in Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia or Florida, in a remote capacity, will be responsible for the identification and acquisition of customers within focus industries aligned to their assigned territory, as well as supporting the sales cycle through collaboration with partners and field sales.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Build target customer specific value propositions based on relevant and Analytics use cases within assigned territory

Build and extend senior management relationships to all relevant stakeholders at target customers, partners and within Software AG

Help to position Software AG as an thought leader and Cumulocity as the leading solution portfolio through participating in regional and global company initiatives

Build and accurately present an pipeline in collaboration with Software AG's account teams and holistically support the corresponding sales cycles.

Work in a collaborative fashion with Software AG account teams with regards to and Analytics to identify opportunities, establish account strategy, actively engage with prospective customers as the and Analytics expert that result in securing long-term customer partnership.

Accurately represent Software AG capabilities to prospective customers and serve as a liaison between prospects and Software AG teams in relation to market needs and feedback.


Skills and Competencies:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to develop and conduct effective presentations, in both in-person and virtual settings

Independent and structured selling approach with a high degree of entrepreneurial initiative

Proven record in successfully closing opportunities and building strategic partnerships

Ability to work collaboratively with other teams within Software AG

Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Suite products

Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology or related disciplines preferred, but not required


Experience Required: 

Experience generating a 3.5x pipeline leveraging use cases, R+D, industry expertise, and competitive analysis

Working knowledge in Software AG product technology including /IIoT

Experience with broader Software AG portfolio preferred

Existing network of current and prospective customers within the local market preferred

Proven success selling SaaS products and building C-level relationships in the Southeast/Central market


Physical Requirements:  

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times

Must be able to travel
