Position Purpose

 

Software AG is looking for a head of Marketing Operations to be the operational backbone of Marketing Transformation. The VP of Marketing Operations will encompass all the functions of the marketing organization that enable it to run with efficiency and consistency while delivering results. The right candidate will lead a MOPS team that will create a marketing operations strategy, enable insights to make decisions that will drive key results, help create a budget strategy that aligns to business goals and strategies and enable tight ties across the business as well as across the global marketing team.

 

Job Functions

  • Creating an operating model and cadence across Marketing to deliver against strategies and plans
  • Tracking performance metrics in order to plan, report, and analyze
  • Budgeting for areas that produce the most ROI
  • Segmentation and analytics to identify key targets and gaps
  • Leveraging marketing technology for seamless process and insight across Marketing and Sale (ie. lead management processes, CRM, and marketing automation etc)

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • 8+ years of direct hands-on marketing experience leading strategic initiatives and defining process at scale; at least 5 years managing an experienced marketing team.
  • Have managed a multi-functional marketing organization with a record of developing fully operational marketing teams
  • Strong performance marketing and analytic experience; inherent analytical curiously beyond KPIs to understand key drivers of success
  • Effective communication skills; ability to work closely with leadership team and across functional areas; proactively shares information across teams
  • Collaborative working style, detail- and goal- oriented, self-starter with excellent project management skills and ability to manage tight deadlines
  • Strong critical thinking aptitude, constant learning, self-motivation and discipline
  • Strong relationship building and people management skills
