Video Production Specialist

Software AG is looking for someone with excellent project management skills who is able to manage, produce, record, and edit video and audio. The video production specialist is involved in planning, creating, processing, uploading, editing, and managing the video production process. Additionally, you will also be working with customers, partners, stakeholders, and colleges to produce live event coverage and pre-recorded content for internal and external purposes. As a Video Production Specialist, you will have the opportunity to showcase your creative expertise, strong technical skills, and produce engaging videos that help showcase why Software AG is recognized as an industry leader. This opportunity has the flexibility to be remote and/or at our Reston, VA Headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the impact video content makes with our audience. You take as much pride in a 30-minute documentary as you do in a short 30-second mobile promotion
  • Be creative and able to work with subject matter experts to turn ideas into compelling scripts that are shared through video
  • Work with customers, partners, stakeholders, and colleagues with various backgrounds around the world to produce video content for internal and external purposes. 
  • Produce, record, edit and format video content according to each appropriate social media platform for Global Marketing (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, or Vimeo). 
  • Serve as “Primary Owner” (administrator) of the Software AG Global YouTube channel and process requests from internal clients to upload videos (virtual events, webinars, commercials, promos, or explainer videos) with their respective metadata (titles, descriptions, tags, playlists, and thumbnails) to the channel. 
  • Manage a library of digital video content through Adobe Experience Manager. 
  • Use motion graphics from either Adobe Stock or from our Multimedia Producer to enhance video. 
  • Use audio from Adobe Stock or other stock website to enhance video. 
  • Manage, maintain, and operate production equipment including DSLR cameras, detachable lenses, backdrop and lighting, microphones, tripods, teleprompter, and motorized gimbal to shoot interviews, live events, events highlight reels, promos, commercials, and other internal content whenever appropriate. 
  • Serve as an onsite photographer to shoot pictures for internal and external events as requested. 
  • Serve as headshot photographer to support internal employees for profile pictures as requested.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of programs within Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus in After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Audition (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of all aspects of the video production process, specifically shooting and editing.
  • Ability to manage, maintain, and operate production equipment.
  • Ability to design and produce audio, motion graphics, and photography using Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a video, film, or design related field.
  • Must provide a demo-real for review.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
 

From day one you'll join one of our scrum teams and begin using lean methodologies to steadily deliver customer value.  You'll be responsible for the delivery of high quality well-documented features as well as create and maintain reusable test automation infrastructures. You will also be a participant in a full agile lifecycle, from feature definition, to design and implementation.  You and your team will be challenged to work together to continuously improve our methodologies and accelerate the value stream.

 

ABOUT YOU

 

Academic Degree: BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent

Professional Experience:  2 - 5 years

Special Knowledge:
 

As a quality assurance leader, you may take a rotation as Scrum Master or as liaison between Scrum teams for cross-product features. As a team member, you'll assist our sales engineers and consultants with customer engagements, as well as back up our sustaining engineers to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.  Languages:

  • Expert knowledge in Software Quality Assurance Methodologies.
  • Experience with writing automated tests using open source for automation frameworks
  • Familiarity with Build Tools and CI/CD: e.g. Jenkins, Ant, Maven, Groovy, Git
  • Dominant Standards exposure: e.g. XML, HTML, SOAP, HTTP, JMS, REST/JSON
  • server-side Java  or similar programming experience
  • Experience with Docker, virtualization and Cloud computing
  • UNIX experience a plus

Additional Requirements/ Soft Skills:
Experience in product development strongly preferred.  Must be a strong designer, able to efficiently reuse and extend existing automation infrastructure and testing environments.  Experience with databases, security, browser-based clients, and product performance metrics is helpful.
Leadership abilities and good judgment based on experience, analytic skills and business domain knowledge; decisive yet pragmatic. Collaborative working style, familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
