IOT Senior Consultant (West Coast)

ABOUT THE JOB

The responsibility of a Cumulocity Consultant is to act as a developer to implement IoT using the Cumulocity IoT platform. This includes connecting devices, implementing rules & dashboards for these devices and integrating with enterprise systems.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Supports/ deals with Micro services, Integration with streaming analytics, batch analytics
  • Supports Enterprise system connectivity including the ability to connect IoT solutions to enterprise systems like BPMS or SAP using webMethods product stack.
  • Development of dashboards based on existing widgets; custom widget development
  • Custom web application development for REST services
  • Uses technologies like HTML 5, Javascript, AngularJS, Node.js in connection with Software AG Products Cumulocity and Mashzone Next Gen.

 

Academic Degree:  BS in Managing Information Systems Computer Science or other related field

 

Professional Experience in year(s):  5

 

Special Knowledge:

  • Rule development
  • Develop rules for events coming from connected devices and machines
  • Visual Rule development
  • Implementation of custom rules  using Apama
  • Usage of IoT Analytics toolkit using Software AG Products liked Cumulocity and Apama

 

IT Skills:

  • Web Development Skills - CSS, JavaScript,  Node JS , Angular
  • Java (Including Java Bootstrap)
  • REST implementation
  • Basic understanding of Docker
  • Technology Frameworks including DBMS, NoSQL persistence and Polyglot persistence
  • Skills around the Software AG Platform at plus- Apama, webMethods, Mashzone Next Gen
  • C/C++ skills a plus

 

Languages: 

  • English
  • Other languages a plus!

 

Additional Requirements/ Soft Skills:

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with immediate client, supervisor and peers, as well as, presentation, organizational and planning skills.
  • Capable of acting as a team lead or part of a team on certain projects
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to gain clients confidence and maintain a professional relationship with clients, peers and management.
