Service/Test Engineer with German / IoT


This position is available in Sofia.


Software AG is increasingly focusing on managed services business by providing customers with an entire service portfolio. This portfolio consists of different services which will be managed by a managed services team, who are responsible for managing the infrastructure as well as customer’s platform related operations.



•    Provide 2nd level technical support for our customers  
•    Manage customer’s environments for stability, security, and satisfaction for optimal customer experiences
•    Run tests and document the test results after new deployments/upgrades
•    Willingness for 24/7 on-call duty (up to 4 times monthly on working days and up to 2 times monthly on weekend days)
•    Maintain and monitor customer environments in the area of our product stack Internet of Things (IoT). Plan and apply fixes, patches and upgrades
•    Keep customers informed, set and follow up on commitments, keep precise case documentation and case ownership
•    Develop working knowledge of supported products and technology as well as applicable technical support debugging tools
•    Work closely with 3-rd level support teams – both internal and external
•    Potential to grow within the team and role



•    2+ years of IT support and customer facing experience
•    Experience in automation testing
•    Service oriented behavior and good communication skills to internal and external clients
•    Experience with Linux
•    Interests in different technical topics within IT
•    Excellent oral and written German communication skills
•    Very good oral and written English communication skills
•    University Degree in Computer Science or related

Experience with minimum 3 of the following:
•    System Administration
•    IoT products
•    MongoDB/MS SQL
•    AngularJS/Angular
•    Scripting – Chef
•    Kubernetes/Docker
•    Micro Services
