We are looking for ambitious, confident and tenacious individuals for our rapidly growing South African Sales Team. As a first point of contact with prospects, our Sales Development Representatives (SDR) create demand for our expansive portfolio of industry leading solutions and play a key role in our business success strategy. Qualifying conversations to understand the buyer's journey of challenges and priorities, and help to determine the appropriate next steps in the sales/evaluation process, our SDRs are a key component of the pipeline and revenue growth for Software AG along with being our sales superstars of the future.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities: 

A Sales Development Representative supports local sales team members with qualified opportunities - and will need to build strong professional relationships throughout the Sales & Marketing organizations. Other tasks include:

 

• Follow up on Marketing Qualified Leads (i.e. Marketing Events, Webinars, Website Downloads)

• Execute established daily cadence of prospecting and conversations to qualify leads and create new Sales Qualified Opportunities

• Collaborate with sales team in defined territories to penetrate targeted accounts with an innovative and strategic approach

• Maintain daily activities in SalesForce.com by tracking all calls, emails, and interactions with prospects and customers

• Work closely with Marketing to both develop and leverage strategic campaigns to drive pipeline revenue and provide a feedback channel for greater traction of message

• Understanding of our Digital Business Platform, marketplace and competition

• Build working relationships with field sales, sales engineers, market development, and consulting to develop joint account plans/strategies

 

Professional Experience in year(s): 

Must have minimum of 1-2 years working experience in a professional business environment. While not necessary, the ideal candidate will have experience of working within an inside sales team and also the language skills to be able to support one or more countries across the EMEA region.
