Location: This position is available in the French part of Switzerland (Romandy), a residence between Geneva and Fribourg/Bern is highly recommended

 

ABOUT THE JOB

 

The Pre-Sales Solution Engineer* for ARIS will understand a prospect’s or customer’s business problem and construct a solution leveraging Software AG’s platform for business & IT transformation, particularly using the ARIS product.

 

The Pre-Sales Solution Engineer* is the technical business partner of the Account Executives* and Sales Managers* in Switzerland; he/she reports into the Pre-Sales Director (of Austria & Switzerland).

 

 

ROLE OBJECTIVES

 

  • Pre-Sales Lifecycle Management: The Pre-Sales Solution Engineer* will provide high quality, business-oriented and technical support to assure the product-oriented aspects of the sales projects are strongly aligned with the business objectives of the prospective or existing customer.
  • Product Revenue & Bookings: The Pre-Sales Solution Engineer* assures facilitating Software AG's business and revenue goals by providing assistance to the sales team across all aspects of the sales cycle
  • Enablement of Sales, Professional Services and Partners: The Pre-Sales Solution Engineer* will provide regular enablement on product and capabilities to the sales and partner teams, ensuring both are kept up to date on Software AG’s offerings; he/she also ensures a seamless and smart handover of won projects to our professional services or partner organization.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

  • Respond to the functional and business requirements and capabilities sections of RFI/RFPs
  • Create compelling presentations and demonstrations relevant to a customer’s or prospect’s needs as well as highlight and differentiate Software AG’s capabilities and value propositions
  • Define and implement PoV/PoC or custom demonstration scenarios and map functions of Software AG capabilities to customers’ and prospects’ needs
  • Act as technical liaison and establish trusted relationships with customers and prospects

 

 

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, business informatics, business administration, information management, engineering or the like
  • More than 3 years’ experience working in a pre-sales or consulting role
  • Experienced with operating systems (OS), database management systems (DBMS) and applications like enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM) etc. or with vendors of such software.
  • Experienced with Business Infrastructure & Enterprise Architecture concepts and (information) technologies like BPM, BPMS, BPMN, EPC, BAM, EAI, SOA, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, ITIL, TOGAF etc.
  • Industry knowledge
  • Experience with the ARIS product respectively with one of the ARIS product components would be a great asset

 

 

SKILLS

 

  • Strong customer-oriented skills like being able to engage with and listen to senior leaders (CxO level) as well as analyze, write, review, communicate, present and translate technical details to all levels
  • Business skills like demonstrating a team attitude, delivering on deadlines, developing clear and concise product briefings, eliciting business requirements, mapping business drivers and initiatives to technology offering and differentiators
  • Technology and consultative skills like having a solid technical background, cloud experience, architecting solutions as well as providing best practices to customers and helping with IT Strategy and implementation planning; programming language skills are a plus
  • LANGUAGES: Native speaker of French. Bilingual French and German are a real asset; very good written and spoken English skills a must.
